Wedding Showers and Birthday

 La semana pasada mis compañeras de trabajo y las mujeres de mi iglesia me bendijeron con dos "wedding showers"--uno el jueves y el otro el sábado. :-) Estoy muy agradecida al Senor por estas damas y por su generosidad. También, nos divertimos en cantidad. Mi buena amiga A también fue la que escribía los regalos en la fiesta en la iglesia. Fue lindo pasar ese tiempo con ella (y nos combinábamos también!).

Last week my coworkers and the ladies from church blessed me with two wedding showers--one on Thursday evening and the other on Saturday. :-) I am very thankful to the Lord for these ladies and for their generosity. We had a lot of fun. My good friend A was also the one who kept track of the gifts (at the church party). It was so nice to spend that time with her (and our clothes matched too!).

Hoy el 12 de junio cumplí 28 anos. Lo celebramos tranquilo en casa con mi hermana A, mi mama y mi papa. Pedimos una comida, abrimos regalos y nos comimos un pastel de mantecado. Le doy gracias al Senor por un ano mas de vida. Anoche abrí el regalo que me envio J--unas pantallas y un collar bellísimos. Gracias, mi querido. Te amo. También, gracias, mama y A. Y gracias, Senor, que mi papa pudo estar aquí con nosotros en este día.

Today, June 12, I turned 28 years old. We celebrated here at home with my sister A, my mama and my daddy. We ordered a meal, opened presents, and ate an ice cream pie. I'm thankful to the Lord for another year of life. Last night I opened the present that J sent me--a gorgeous set of earrings and a necklace. Thank you, beloved. I love you. Also, thank you, mom and A. And thank you, Lord, that my daddy could be here at home with us today.
