This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.
The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
for His compassions never fail.

“Therefore I have hope in Him.”
Esto traigo a mi corazón,
por esto tengo esperanza:
Que las misericordias del SEÑOR jamás terminan,
pues nunca fallan sus bondades;
son nuevas cada mañana; ¡grande es tu fidelidad!
El SEÑOR es mi porción--dice mi alma--por eso en El espero.
It is so good to remember that God's lovingkindness and compassions are new every morning. It gives me hope to know that God will be there whatever happens and so will his loving kindnesses and compassion to meet the needs of each day.
This verse has been comforting and strengthening to me this month as my father was diagnosed with
glioblastoma multiforme, a type of aggressive, malignant brain tumor. On 3/14/2012 my daddy had brain surgery to remove the tumor. By God's grace, he was able to come home the following Tuesday and now he and my mom are in the midst of paperwork and medical appointments as he gets ready to start radiation treatments and chemotherapy.
Es tan bueno recordar que las misericordias y bondades de Dios son nuevas cada mañana. Me da esperanza saber que Dios estará aquí siempre y también estarán sus misericordias y bondades para todas las necesidades de cada dia.
Este versiculo me consolaba y daba fuerza este mes mientras recibimos la noticia que mi papa tenia glioblastoma multiforme, un cáncer del cerebro maligno y agresivo. Le operaron a mi papa el 14 de marzo para sacarle el tumor. Gracias a Dios, pudo salir el martes siguiente y ahora el y mi mama están en medio de muchos papeles, formas, y citas medicas en lo que prepare a comenzar los tratamientos de radiación y quimioterapia.
I am thankful to the Lord for His many goodnesses shown through this difficult trial and am convinced that there are as many, if not more, goodnesses as sorrows: the support and practical help of family members and friends, the prayers and encouragement of many, the good outcome of my daddy's surgery (no known impairments from the surgery although he is weak), the emergency care provided for t, and more...
I truly believe that, even in the midst of difficulty, God's goodnesses are there:
Psalm 27:13.
Estoy muy agradecida al Senor por Sus muchas bondades en medio de esta gran dificultad y estoy convencida de que hay tantas bondades (o aun mas) como tristezas: el apoyo y la ayuda practica de familia y amigos, las oraciones y tarjetas de muchos, el buen resultado de la operación de mi papa (salió si ningún impedimento conocido aunque si esta muy débil), el cuidado provisto para t, y mas...
Yo verdaderamente creo que, aun en medio de las dificultades, las bondades de Dios están presentes: Salmo 27:13.
In the meantime, we would appreciate your prayers. As mentioned, my dad's legs are very weak. The doctor feels that might be due to a medication and has decreased the dosage. However, that medication also keeps swelling down in the brain, so please pray that there would be a good balance so that my dad can be stronger and not have trouble with swelling. Also pray for mom, who is home caring for my dad and filling out lots of papers. It's so good to see my parents' committed love for each other in action. Pray for all of us as, no doubt, this is an emotional time, but God is there! I am encouraged by my dad's positive attitude and pray that God will sustain him, my mom, and us as we navigate this new world of cancer and treatments.
Entretanto, apreciaríamos sus oraciones. Como ya mencione, mi papa esta muy débil de las piernas. El medico cree que es por uno de los medicamentos y ha bajado el dosaje. Sin embargo, ese medicamento controla la inflamación en el cerebro, así que oren por favor que encuentren un buen balance para que mi papa se sienta mas fuerte pero tampoco tenga problemas de inflamación dentro del cerebro. También, oren por mi mama que esta cuidando a mi papa y llenando muchas formas. Es tan bueno ver ese amor dedicado en acción. Oren por todos nosotros que, sin duda, este es un momento sentimental, pero Dios esta aquí! Me anima la actitud positiva de mi papa y oro que Dios nos sostenga a el, a mi mama, y a todos nosotros mientras que naveguemos este nuevo mundo del cáncer y de los tratamientos.
