A los pianistas quisiera hacerles una pregunta. Estoy buscando comprar un teclado o un piano digital para mi apartamento. (Sería difícil subir mi escalera estrecha al segundo piso con un piano.) ¿Tienen ustedes una buena recomendación de un piano digital o teclado que tenga "weighted keys" y se sienta como un piano verdadero?
I want to ask a question of the pianists. I am currently shopping for a keyboard or digital piano for my apartment. (It would be difficult to carry a regular piano up my narrow staircase to the second floor.) Do any of you have a good recommendation for a digital piano/keyboard with weighted keys and with as realistic a touch as possible?

The Smells and Sounds of Spring/Los olores y sonidos de la primavera
Esta semana yo oí un ruido extraño por la ventana de mi trabajo. "¿Qúe es eso?" yo pensé. Me dí cuenta que era un cortacéspedes--el primero que había oído desde que empezó el invierno en noviembre. Creo que sonreí y disfruté de ese sonido--una señal de la llegada de la primavera.
Cuando salí del trabajo, inmediatamente, me enfrentó un olor--una fragancia--semejante al olor de la granja donde viven mi hermana y mi cuñado. (A mí me gusta el olor de la granja.) Otra vez, yo pensé "¿Qúe es eso?" Era la fragancia de la tierra y de la hierba recién cortada. La primavera trae olores también.
Hoy abrí mis ventanas mientras que estaba trabajando en la casa. Disfruté de los cantitos de los pajaritos y, también, otro olor agradable que me daba hambre. Alguién estaba cocinando al aire libre.
Mañana en la escuela dominical vamos a aprender de la primavera--que es algo que hizo Dios. Hice una presentación de fotos de flores y animales bebés. Gracias, Señor, por esta bella estación del año.
This week I heard a strange noise through the window at work. "What is that?" I thought. I soon realized that it was a lawnmower--the first I had heard since winter started in November. I believe that I smiled, and I enjoyed listening to that sound--a sign that spring had arrived.
When I left work, I was immediately faced with a smell, a fragrance, similar to the smell of the farm where my sister and brother-in-law live. (I like the smell of the farm.) Again, I thought "What is that?" It was the fragrance of the earth and the freshly mown grass. Spring brings new smells too.
Today I opened my windows while I was working inside the house. I enjoyed listening to the little birds singing. A pleasant smell was also wafting through the windows and making me hungry. Someone was cooking outside!
Tomorrow in Sunday school, we're going to learn about spring, that it is something God made. I made a presentation of pictures of flowers and little baby animals. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful season.

Great-Grandma L and Aunt E Meet P/ Bisabuela y titi Eli conocen a P
La semana pasada mi tío R y mi titi E vinieron para cuidar a mi abuelo C por una semana. Fue lindo poder pasar tiempo con ellos. El martes yo pude cenar con ellos y con mi abuelo. Entonces, el viernes pasado (No trabajé ni el jueves ni el viernes.) titi E, mi abuela L (la bisabuela de P) y yo fuimos en mi carro a visitar a G y P. Almorzamos y disfrutamos juntas. Estoy feliz que titi E y mi abuela pudo ver a P.
Last week my Uncle R and Aunt E came to take care of my Grandpa C for one week. It was so nice to spend time with them. On Tuesday, I got to eat with them and with Grandpa. Then, last Friday (I didn't work Thursday or Friday.) Aunt E, my Grandma L (P's great-grandma), and I went in my car to visit G and P. We had lunch and just enjoyed being together. I'm so glad that Aunt E and my grandma could see P.
Something Drastic/ Algo drástico
Eso fue lo que yo hice el jueves pasado. Yo quería sorprender a mis compañeras de trabajo con mi nuevo corte de pelo. A mí, me gusta y lo mejor es que, cuando una persona dona su pelo, ¡el corte es GRATIS!
Yo vi a mis compañeras de trabajo el sábado porque todos fuimos a ver la ópera Il Trovatore (interpretada por la ópera Metropolitana) en un cine aquí. (Fue mi primera vez para ver una ópera completa--una muy buena experiencia.) Me encantaron las caras y las reacciones de mis compañeras cuando vieron mi nuevo corte. Les gustó mucho.
That was what I did last Thursday. I wanted to surprise my coworkers with my new haircut. I like it, and, best of all, when a person donates her hair, the haircut is FREE!
I saw my coworkers on Saturday because we all went to see the opera Il Trovatore (performed by the Metropolitan Opera) at a movie theater here. (It was my first time to watch an entire opera--a very good experience.) I love seeing my coworkers' faces and reactions when they saw my new 'do. They loved it.
Aunt A and Uncle O Meet P/ Titi A y tío O conocen a P
El fin de semana del domingo de la Resurrección, tuvimos una dulce visita de mi hermana A y su esposo O (o "K"). Vinieron a ver a su sobrino P por primera vez. El sábado todos fuimos a casa de G y L. Pasamos varias horas allí, y todos pudimos coger a P por un rato. La ropita de Pascua ("Easter") que P tiene puesto fue un regalo de parte de "Grandma" (mi mamá). "Titi A" también trajo varias canastas de ropa. Ella es niñera, y la mamá de esos niños le regaló la ropa que sus hijos ya no están usando.
Over Resurrection Sunday weekend we had a lovely visit from my sister A and her husband O (or "K"). They came to see their nephew P for the first time. On Saturday we all went to G and L's and spent several hours there. We all got to hold P for a little while. The little Easter outfit was a gift from Grandma (my mom). Aunt A also brought several baskets of clothes. She is a nanny, and the mother of the children she watches gave her the clothes that the children are no longer wearing.
