May and June 09

Quite a bit of time has passed since my last update, and many things have happened.

First, I had the privilege and opportunity to play piano for the first time at my friend A's wedding. She and her (now) husband had announced their engagement during the middle of May and married June 6. Thankfully, E had music, the pastor had a keyboard for me to practice, and plenty of people encouraged me that I could do it. I practiced a LOT. It was fun to play, and I know that it meant a lot to A.

Second, I went home June 10-14. My youngest sister G was graduating from high school, and I was coming to surprise her. (That's why I haven't sent an update in a while!) We had a wonderful time getting to know each other again--some deep conversations, prayer together, and mutual encouragement. It is a blessing to see how much G LOVES the Lord and desires to please Him. A, her boyfriend K, and T also were able to come for G's graduation. A very graciously drove us around for the various errands we needed to do for G's graduation and party. This was the first time in a year that the whole family was together! I know seeing everyone was very special for my mom.
